This weekend, I will be attending Connooga in Chattanooga.
This is a great convention with lots of fun panels and vendors. I will be selling my books in their vendor room, alongside my wife and cover artist.
However, I also will be participating in a few of their panels. First, at 4:00PM on Friday, I will be on the Scary Story Time panel where several writers will tell true or fictional tales that will keep you up. Saturday at noon, I will be hosting a Phantasm 40 Year Retrospective. These are both going to be fun events that I hope you can stop by at. If not, please swing by my booth and say hello and pick up your copies of either the Winston & Baum steampunk adventure series or Friedkin’s Curse: A Werewolf Tale of Terror.
Hope to see you at Connooga this year.
Please keep checking back to see where else I will be appearing this year.

Since I do enjoy this time of year so much, I thought that I would give you guys a recommendation a day for each day, just so that you have some wonderful choices for your frightful reading and viewing.
I figured I would start the first with one of my personal favorites: The Remastered Phantasm. My wife got me this for Christmas last year, and the remastering by JJ Abrams is amazing with remastered HD video and audio, it really is like a brand new experience. So, by all means check it out and add it to your Halloween viewing list.
You can pick up a copy by clicking on the image below.
Synopsis: Strange things are happening at the Morningside Cemetery. Jody Pearson (Bill Thornbury) attends the funeral of a recently departed friend. His younger brother, Mike (Michael Baldwin), watches the final rites and observes a tall mortician clad in black (Angus Scrimm) tossing the heavy, unburied coffin into a waiting hearse as if it were only a stick of kindling wood. Determined to uncover the truth behind this unusual sight, Mike returns to the cemetery at night and breaks into the mortuary. There, he finds deadly, spectral creatures inhabiting the home’s embalming cellar and comes face-to-face with the sinister Tall Man. After barely managing to escape with his life, Mike enlists Jody and their close friend, Reggie (Reggie Bannister), to discover what is really happening at the Morningside Mortuary and the secrets of the living dead who dwell there.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another recommendation.
