Another Dragoncon has come and gone. As always, it was a blast!
I want to welcome everyone that came by and picked up a business card or grabbed a book. This was by far my best show ever. I sold out of two books and almost sold out of the other three Winston & Baum adventures.
Thanks to everyone that came out, my next scheduled stop will be Hallowcon at the end of October, but I’m going to see if I can’t add some appearances in before then. Please keep checking back to find out where I’ll be and what I’ve got going on.
Hello good reader, I will be attending Dragoncon this Labor Day weekend, and I hope you will be also.
As in previous years, I will be in the Art Show with my cover artist. This will be her 10th year!
As in years past, copies of the Winston & Baum Steampunk Adventures will be available at her table for sale.
If you get the chance to stop by and say hello, please do. If you don’t, enjoy yourself and have a safe con. Keep checking back for even more great places to catch up with me!
Thanks to everyone that stopped by and picked up a book, business card, or just said ‘hi.’ It’s always great to get to see everyone.
This year was a fantastic year. I was able to meet John G. Hartness, a writer that you should definitely check out if you haven’t already. His works include Bubba the Monster Hunter (a personal favorite), the Black Knight Chronicles, and Quincy Harker Demon Hunter, check out his fun works.
I also got to spend some time talking with Disney great Tad Stones, creator of Darkwing Duck, whose other credits include, Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, the Aladdin tv show, and the animated Hellboy feature films. Not only was he a lot of fun to talk to and get some background information, when I bumped into him at his table, he was drawing Darkwing himself. Now, I have this original piece in my collection.
I am the terror that flaps in the night.
And as always there was a lot of jaw-dropping costumes. Since I spent most of my time in the art show, I wasn’t able to take pictures of them as they walked through, but just google Dragoncon 2017, and you’ll find a lot of pictures I’m sure. To all my con buddies that I didn’t get to see this year, there will be other cons and there is always next year.
Thanks for reading, and keep checking back for other places where I’ll be.
First, I want to say a big thanks to everyone that came out this past Saturday to Hiram Books. I saw some familiar faces and a lot of new ones. Thanks to each and every one of you who came out.
Now, on to what you really wanted to know. I will be at my wife/cover artist’s table in the Dragoncon Art Show in the Hyatt if you want to swing by and pick up a book or art, or if you just want to drop by and say hi. Below is a map of the Art Show showing where you can find me.
Hope to see you there, but if you can’t find time to swing by (which I totally understand, Dragoncon is huge), I hope you have a great con and a safe Labor Day.
Hello faithful reader, I wanted to let you know where I’ll be over the next couple of months.
I will be doing a book signing at Hiram Books on Saturday, August 26th, from 4 – 8PM. If you’re in the area, please drop by, pick up your signed copy of Winston & Baum and the Trials of the Baba Yaga, and check out their selection of other books.
Labor Day weekend, September 1-4th, I will be helping my wife in the Dragoncon Art Show, where I will also have copies of my books available. If you happen to be attending, please come by and say ‘hey.’
On Saturday, October 7th, I will be at Revfest at Rev Coffee in Smyrna, GA. This is a fun show with plenty of good food and music.
I will post more updates as I add more appearances to my calendar. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you out there.
I’m back from Dragoncon 2016. This was another fun year with lots of great costumes, guests, and attendees. I got to meet a lot of new people and sell some books, which is always nice. I even have some amazing people who come out every year to get the newest volume of the Winston & Baum Steampunk Adventures. My wife, Caralyn, had a phenomenal year in the art show, winning two awards.
Here’s her “Clocktopus” necklace, which won Best Jewelry from the judges. Here is “Are We There Yet?” which won Best Fairy based off of the votes of the people who attended the Art Show on Friday and Saturday.
A big thank you to everyone that came out and met us. Dragoncon is always a great place to meet up with friends, I was fortunate enough to get to spend a few minutes talking with authors Bobby Nash and David B. Coe.
My next scheduled con will be C1 Comicon on November 12. Come out if you can and pick up some fun stuff for Christmas presents or just drop by and say ‘hey.’ To all of my great con buddies and fans, thanks for coming out, and I’ll see you next year.
For all of those who follow me or have come by during Dragoncon, today is the last day of the convention and the last day to pick up a free Kindle short.
