The AuthorFest at the Dalton-Whitfield Library was a great success. I got to spend some time with some friends, make new friends, sell some books, find my next great read, and help others find their next great read. If you came out this weekend, big thanks to you. Hello faithful reader, I wanted to let you know where I’ll be over the next couple of months.
I will be doing a book signing at Hiram Books on Saturday, August 26th, from 4 – 8PM. If you’re in the area, please drop by, pick up your signed copy of Winston & Baum and the Trials of the Baba Yaga, and check out their selection of other books.
Labor Day weekend, September 1-4th, I will be helping my wife in the Dragoncon Art Show, where I will also have copies of my books available. If you happen to be attending, please come by and say ‘hey.’
On Saturday, October 7th, I will be at Revfest at Rev Coffee in Smyrna, GA. This is a fun show with plenty of good food and music.

This weekend was the first ever C1 Comicon in Ringgold, GA. It was housed at the Colonnade, which I had never been to, but it was really nice venue. The people that organized the show and volunteered were top notch. They were incredibly helpful and made everyone feel completely at home. The vendors represented a wide-range of interests for fans of all walks. They had comic book vendors (who had some really sweet items), collectible/toy sellers, some artists, a few authors (myself included), and even some Walkers from The Walking Dead.
While at the con, I got to hang out with some cool people that I’d already met, but I also had the opportunity to meet some great new people, who helped make the con fun for everybody. First up, I got to meet Sketch MacQuinor, the lead animator of Cartoon Network’s Squidbillies. Sketch was on my left and on my right was fellow indy author J.A. Tony. I had the pleasure of meeting his cover artist DM at Connooga this year, and was glad I got to finally meet J.A. These two were great to hang out with and share some laughs. J.A.’s book Gabriel: Sinner is available now, and I highly encourage you to pick it up. You can click on the cover beneath the photo to get a copy.

Last, and far from least was Eddie Price. Eddie is a great comic book artist, who I had the pleasure to meet at Steampunk Expo. He’s a fun guy and does some astounding 3d artworks. You should check him out on facebook and purchase all of his stuff.

I’ve been told that C1 will be happening again next year, and frankly, I can’t wait. This was a fun show with great vendors, artists, and attendees that was put on by a grade A staff. Until next year C1, see you then.

Next weekend, I will be attending Connooga (February 19-21) in Chattanooga, TN. Last year was my first year as a guest of the con (my first-time as a guest at any con). Connooga is a fun con that is growing, but has not reached that apex peak like conventions such as Comic-con or Dragoncon. Good guests, fun panels, great cosplay, and diverse vendors/artists/authors make this my favorite con in the Southeast right now.
A few people have asked about any panels that I am apart of, and I now have a schedule for those.

Hey everyone, I hope your first month of 2016 has gone well. I’ve been busy and just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about what’s been happening.
The short story that I promised will be released between Winston & Baum books 3 & 4 is finished (first draft only). It is part of a series that started with Brackish’s story in the back of Winston & Baum and the Disk of Night. I am calling them the Tales of the Hunters. Each of them will focus on hunters from the Winston & Baum world. They are characters that you’ve met, but I wanted to explore other hunters and adventures set in this world. So, the first of these is drafted. I’ve finished the rough draft of the fourth Winston & Baum steampunk adventure (still no title yet). I’m mostly done with the rough drafts of the other two stories in the hunters series, which will follow book 4.
Last year was a steam-driven adventure for sure. I was able to go to more conventions and meet more people. I’ll be going back to Connooga in February. I’ll post my panel schedule when the show is closer, but if you can, please come out and see my talented wife & cover artist and myself. It’s always nice to meet you wonderful people.
Once I’m done with the other two hunter shorts, I’m going to write something else. I don’t know what yet, but just something to cleanse my palette before I head back to the world of Winston & Baum for the fifth novel.
